Our Available Chihuahua Puppy INFORMATION

If you see a chihuahua pup you would like to call your own, please E-mail me and we can discuss the availability of that chi.  I would like to either talk to you or have you fill out the puppy application on my links page to get to know the puppies potiental new place of residence.  A new baby dog is typically a handfull for the first year like any other young animal, they need attention and training.  We would like to recommend obidence classes to all dogs but that is the new owners choice.  Not every time, but sometimes I would like to put my initials "Kz" on the puppies AKC pedigree application, being.."Kz" it only takes up 2 spaces of the form.

Going home:

Once you have picked your baby, made a deposit then paid for and set a pick up date we will put together a "going home bag." I include a blanket for your lil one to smell the familiar smells of den on his/her first few nites away and adjusting, along with other things. It includes a toy or 2, a couple of potty pads, a sample of Eukanuba puppy dry, which they eat (or if you want to gradually add it to the "new" food not to upset tummies to transition.) They will have their first, maybe second puppy shots (followed by you continuing boosters from your vet of choice) and wormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8wks of age. He or she will be parasite free and have a Florida health certificate. I will include a CD or DVD with lots of pictures I have taken over the last few months including Sire & Dam and family, birth to present! YES I am quite the picture freak. So please take the time to send me an update picture every 6 months or so. We enjoy seeing how they have matured.

Past Present Future...

I am asking that you inform yourself and family of important things you should know about this breed so you can better understand the chihuahua. There are a lot of good books out please start reading up on the chihuahua before you make the choice to raise, love, train and know a baby chi. I will guarantee your puppy for life threating genetic issues until he or she is 1yr of age, as long as you can prove you have taken him/her to a quailified veterinarian (D.V.M.) within 72 hours of purchase to be checked for such issues (which include routine visits and adequate care.)  In the case with proof from the D.V.M., I will replace your pup from a future litter provided I am still breeding that puppies Sire/Dam or an agreement between the 2 of us for a replacement from another litter. I believe in second opinions for medical issues.

ALL requests for full refunds due to death of said animal, within the year, must be accompanied with the deceased animal AND a FULL report from a canine medical facility, Shands in Gainsville FL. I reserve the right to have said animal taken to the vet of my choice before a decision is made. I also ask the chihuahua is not euthanized without contacting me and informing me of the complete nature of the condition.  There are too many scams and internet fraud on the www so be carefull.

There are IMPORTANT chihuahua breed issues you need to KNOW about BEFORE your pup comes home, such as hypoglycemia.  Also If at anytime you can no longer keep your chihuahua, I would like be the one to help you rehome as long as it is not ill, infested or carrying other problems it did not have when it left here. I can not offer a refund but a promise this pet will not end up in a shelter or mill and find it a loving home.  Can I mention a word most chihuahua breeders dislike..."teacup" for those of you that do not know, a "tcup" chihuahua does not exist.  This is a term used for making a sale with inflated prices.  They are all classified as "TOY" by AKC The same goes for color, there is no such color as lavendar in the chihuahua breed ... AKC COLOR CHART, some use it for description.  IF you choose to home a tiny chi baby (under 4lbs as an adult) it could develope issues with its health, this is my opinion because I have seen tiny tiny babies be born and make it to be 4lb adult chi's AND I have seen tiny tiny (ounces at birth) born and stay tiny tiny adults, and typically the tiny tiny newborns ones do not make it due to internal issues or an array of other issues. In the same breath I have seen nice healthy 4oz pups born and not make it over 4lbs as an adult.

Full AKC rights depend on whether the pup is strictly pet or intended to be in an AKC breeding home. I will not sell to a large breeder program nor pet stores, nor auctions or mills. Please do not ask !!!

I have all of the papers/contracts I give to each new home, for your viewing.  If needed I would gladly email yours to you at any time.

It is most important to find these babies a forever home with families who will love them like we do. PLEASE read up on chihuahua's and ask a lot of questions, that is what we do too.  They are very smart dogs and live a long time.

I have found most chihuahua lover's will gladly share their knowledge of this breed with you if you just ask.  And last but not least, this breed knows their own kind, they will thrive best with more then one chi in your home. Males do not make better pets then females as much as it is in the way we raise our chihuahua's.  A CHIHUAHUA is what we make of it. As much as a breeder can try to keep certain personalities in a line, you have to train and condition your dog(s).
